Saturday Review is relaunching as an independent quarterly. We are seeking a small number of founding patrons who believe, as we do, that serious intellectual journalism is worth supporting.
For more than sixty years, Saturday Review was one of the most respected intellectual publications in the English-speaking world. Under Norman Cousins, it shaped debates on nuclear policy, citizen diplomacy, arts and culture, medicine, and the meaning of public life. It was the publication that serious people read when they wanted to think, not just react.
That forum has been absent for four decades. We are bringing it back — as a quarterly print and digital magazine focused on science, technology, medicine, culture, and the future of humanity. Our Founding Editor is Jamie Metzl. Our inaugural theme is The Future of Being Alive.
Reviving The Saturday Review, a quarterly print and digital magazine of science, arts, letters, and public life. The editorial team is assembled, contributors are confirmed, and the first issue is in development.
